The narration for this audiobook was flawless, no notes at all. .
The story itself gave me major Bridgerton vibes, but in a way that actually made it more enjoyable. Overall, it felt like a cozy, easy listen where you know exactly the kind of world and ending you’re getting.

I was not a fan of this one at all. I picked it up because I wanted to check out more regency romances and it was available on Libby so I thought why not. This was a bit of a mess honestly. The writing was fine, there were just so many POVs throughout. Sometimes during chapters it would just switch from one character to a new one without warning and it was pretty jarring because it took me a while to pick up that we were in someone else's POV. I don't mind multiple POVs, but for me with a romance I prefer that to be the two love interests, I don't want all these side characters too. In this we heard from the brother and the mom and these other characters and I didn't care, I felt those were very unnecessary. The premise sounded interesting but the execution did not deliver. We got some banter and stuff between the two main love interests but it was more limited due to have so many different POVs. I felt the romance itself was very rushed.
SPOILER
Literally they share their first kiss at this ball and then immediately after this kiss he asks her to marry him, like WHAT? This happens in the last chapter of the book before the epilogue btw. Make it make sense please.
I was hoping to enjoy this and I did like some of the bantery moments between the leads here and there but this just frustrated me especially that ending.
