This author has managed to create a novel that’s in the Jane Austen vein, but has a vibe and twists that are not quite Austen. I enjoyed following the plot, and laughed out loud a lot. Charming.

Audiobook:

I went into this book knowing nothing about it. Just that I liked the cover and the title. If you're looking for a charming Regency England-era title that will make you laugh and steal your heart---I highly recommend this debut novel. I was quite taken by how much I enjoyed this book.

Many thanks to Penguin Random House for an advanced listening copy of this title. Eleanor Tomlinson draws the listener in with so much finesse.

It was the perfect book at the perfect time : funny, witty, an unusual heroin. I had a lot of fun reading it and dearly loved the main characters. Kitty and Radcliffe's dialogues were so entertaining ! This novel highlighted the end of a very tiresome week. Now, I need the rest of the series !
