This was such a beautiful queer coming of age story. I loved the balance of humor and lightness with the heaviness of healing from trauma. Definitely one that leaves you feeling light and hopeful at the end.

I actually wept reading this book. To handle something serious with so much humor, joy, and healing is a really beautiful thing. I can hardly believe this is Jakobson’s first book. This is an incredible novel.

Very heavy, but very well-constructed. It was a bit of a slow start, but in no time I grew attached to the whole cast of characters. Absolutely worth reading if you’re queer!
