Much more emotional than the first book in the series. Really enjoyable to read!

Vibes way way different from the first of the series, just not for me.

Notes from a (-ish re)read attempt resulting in a second DNF:
Mostly a note to myself so I don’t make this mistake for a third time. Nothing I liked about the first book also exists in the second book. You will be disappointed.

The Fae King’s Dream is the second book in a fantastic series by Jamie Schlosser and one that I couldn’t put down.

Even though this book is a standalone it helps to read the first book in the series to get a better understanding of the curse that plagues the first born children of Faerie royalty.

This book is Damon’s story. Damon is the King of the Dream Realm and wow was this story so interesting to read! I loved that he’s able to “see” while visiting other people’s dreams but upon waking he’s not able to see anything due to a curse. The curse is broken when he finds his true fated mate.

Damon’s parents left him to go to the human realm to help find his mate. When he gets a message from his father in a dream, that they’ve found his mate but something tragic has happened, Damon pulls out everything he can to help save her.

Whitley has always been intrigued by the stars and has always had very full on dreams. When she discovers that she can control her dreams she finds that life gets a bit easier. She never expected to find a handsome stranger in one of her dreams who not only interacts with her but can also touch her! When she wakes up in the Dream Realm she doesn’t know who she is or who anyone is. Damon gets the help with his resident witch, Astrid to bring Whitley back to him.

Whitley soon discovers that her dreams aren’t just dreams, they’re premonitions! And what she sees starts her on a path to help save Damon and those closes to him.

This storyline is filled with suspense, true romance and a storyline that I will not soon forget. The interaction between the faeries, witches and sprites was phenomenal. It’s like you’re living in their world with how the author writes her scenes.

I truly think this author is on her way to being one of my go to authors for paranormal romance. Absolutely incredible book and one I can’t recommend enough.
