Incredible sequel, the aftermath tripling continues and this doesn’t disappoint. Didn’t want to put it down. Any Star Wars fans should want to read this trilogy especially book 2

This audio trilogy really feels like a trio of films. I'm loving the occasional tidbits that seem relevant to Force Awakens, and very much appreciate the character portrayals that Wendig has developed. Oh, and the sly references back to the Old Republic are fantastic!

Much better than the first book, but still feels like something is missing. Hoping Empire's End brings a big conclusion to this trilogy.

I didn't think the second one could get better, but then it did!! I found myself less interested in the already established characters, Han, Leah, Chewie, and more interested in the original characters. But the action was fast, the characters were great, and I now live in terror of thirst grass.

this was a lot better than the first imo, and I'm really interested in the direction things are going. most of these novels feel like pocket stories but this is the only series post rotj that I've read so far that actually feels like it's bridging a gap between the original and sequel trilogies

I've read the reviews on this one and people seem to dislike this because a) it's not the Thrawn trilogy, b) they don't like the author's writing style, c) the modern expressions that don't fit the Star Wars universe and d) they're just mad that disney said something they like isn't canon. Well, this isn't trying to be the Thrawn trilogy, so I don't understand that complaint. Also, Zahn is writing a Thrawn book now, so calm down. B and C are legitimate complaints and I share some of those sentiments, but I think the author got a little better and those nitpicks don't affect the overall story. As for D, I am really perplexed as to why this is a thing. Isn't it awesome to explore a new unfolding and developing universe for these characters? I don't have to read luke falling in love with a ghost or a three-eyed guy claiming he's the emperors son as he wears the glove of Darth Vader. Canon is a relative term - did you enjoy and remember the stories? Then that's all that matters. Oh yeah, I'm talking about this book. Aftermath: Life Debt is a lot of fun. It gets carried away with romantic subplots and modern idioms/choppy sentences, but it fits with the fast-paced action. It's worth reading alone for the ending and epilogue.

Better than the first installment, but that's not saying much. Hope the third one is the charm!

I avoided reading this for the longest time. I read the first Aftermath novel around the time The Force Awakens came out. I was let down by that book because it didn't grab me. However, this one was a major improvement in the series. I read it because it was a Han Solo story and I was gearing up for the Solo movie. I really enjoyed the story in this one and it had plenty of action. I am itching to read the next one after finishing this one.
