I just found myself never wanting to read this and even when I was reading it I wanted to stop. Nothing inherently wrong with it, although the scattered bits did make each section hard to follow. Almost like a 300-page-long stream of consciousness rather than smaller digestible bits, so you never felt like you came to a good stopping place, even when there were chapter distinctions.

Funny, full of fascinating snippets of memory life and history from the bus route. With a serious and more emotional side too along the way. Marvellous.
Sandi's story through the 7 mile route of the Number 12 bus in London covers not just a potted history of London but also snapshots of her life. It is a travesty that in a city that is meant to be encompassing it seems to have forgotten the work of Women, and Sandi's empassioned plea for more equality for Women in a male dominated history is one that resonates. A great read.
this made me laugh out loud and I learned heaps, great book
