This is a paranormal romance style fantasy book about a human girl who has to marry a non-human male for political reasons. It’s very cute as a fantasy romance. I could have done with more angst, like if the characters started to be attracted to each other but weren’t sure and were pining for each other for some time, that would have been INCREDIBLE, but we didn’t get much of that. I know some people get tired of angst so that’s fine, it’s good to skip it sometimes. The sex scenes were kind of skeevy to me, but they were not silly like some of Sarah J Maas’s sex scenes with all the wing-stroking and whatnot. I read this book because some Youtubers I follow read it and liked it and this did not disappoint!

I really enjoyed this book! The dynamic between the two main characters was fantastic, I really appreciate that it was positive and full of respect and humor from the very start. Looking forward to reading more, the ending leaves me with so many questions!
This was soft and I really liked it for that.
It was certainly fantasy, but because it was so soft it didn’t beat you over the head with it being overly fantastical.
