Much like the few books I've read from the Shopaholic series, Sophie Kinsella managed to grab my attention and make me laugh throughout the course of the book, whole enjoying the mishaps of Emma Corrigan. Although the plot stalled a bit at times, this was a good, light-hearted read. I found myself cheering for Emma and sneering at some of the characters who were real jerks. Recommended for anyone who wants to read something relatable and humorous to some degree.

This book was super boring for the most part and I found most of the characters to be aggravating and forgettable. I will say that the writing was captivating and I laughed a few times, hence the two stars instead of just one. That aside, overall this book was a disappointment and not the fun quirky adventure I expected from my first Sophie Kinsella book.
Taking time to read some trashy Brit lit. Can't even get my hands on trashy 'merican lit this year! Blast. It was enjoyable in the sense that I read it in one three-hour train ride.
Although I did like the book.....it is definitely not a favorite. Just really a slow read. The characters were all likeable. But, I just really had to force myself to finish the book. That is why it is a 2 star read for me.
