Not the best moomin book but it was certainly very short and introduced the characters we all know and love. Poor old moomintroll's certainly had a bad time of it growing up.
Original Moomins! I liked how much the narrative centred on Moominmamma especially, which makes the fact that she is often pushed aside in the shows even more disappointing. The characters are endearing and well established, and the story is entertaining. Life prevails despite all odds! I can’t believe Moomin House wasn’t built where it stands, but pushed there by a flood. Awesome.
