Looks like things are starting to get up again in the best way! Gosh there's so much to cover with this one and I don't have the time to go over it all just yet, so expect an update to this review in the near future!

My love for the MHA series and it's spin offs has significantly lessened. Like I still like it, but eh.

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is slowly becoming super cool. At first I was bothered by the slight change in tone and the emphasis put on female sexuality (and there still is), but as the story has gone on I think it's finally finding it's groove. It helps a lot, to me at least, that the author is starting to integrate characters from the main My Hero Academia story into this. In volume 5 we get cameos from Eraserhead, Midnight and Fatgum, and all of those cameos made me perk up with excitement. Their characters do not take over the story or even drive it, they're just background material, and that's exactly how they should be used.

The main arc of this volume is that The Crawler and Pop Step are on the way to an idol performance when they run into Fatgum and subsequently help him solve a crime and track down a villain. There's other shenanigans as usual but it's fun. Knuckleduster is staying away from the others for the time being as his daughter was being possessed by Kuin Hachisuka, the Queen Bee. His daughter is in the hospital recovering and because of this, Knuckleduster really doesn't make much of an impact in this volume. This volume seems much more like filler, but it's still enjoyable.

TV Tropes defines the word Expy as "short for 'exported character.' A character from one series who is unambiguously and deliberately based on a character in another, older series. A few minor traits, such as age or hair color, may change, but there's no doubt that they are almost one and the same."
Instead of reviews, I'll just keep a running tally of Expies per volume. Enjoy!

Kamen Rider Ichigo & Nigo (Because if you haven't made an original Kamen Rider expy, can you even call yourself a Japanese superhero media?)

I'm really loving the developments!

The whole Knuckleduster situation is really interesting aspect of the story but I can't help but be drawn to pop and crawlers relationship, it's so cute I swear!

Finally feel like we are getting to the good part. The main plot is finally clear. The characters are (maybe?) starting to get individual development. More common main stream characters are getting consistent roles. Super happy to see aizawa and fat gum.
Only part I didn’t like was how sudden knuckle buster dude disappeared. I understand why for plot purposes and I don’t even like him a lot, but it was very sudden and almost random.
