It makes some good points about culture, expectations and emotional labor. The definition here of self-care is more about doing things that sustain you and less about the things that are marketed to us as self-care.

The book was a little repetitive but great points to think about and focus on in real life.

Alot of generalized statements. No real details/ steps on how to improve
This book definitely has its limitations - it's very gendered and these feelings aren't all unique to people who identify as women, nor are these feelings universal. That said, I found this book to give me the words to define a lot of feelings I've experienced that I couldn't quite identify previously. This book isn't necessarily the answer to all of that, but it can provide context and encouragement to let yourself "settle." I don't mean that in the negative sense, of settling for less than what you have earned or deserve -- but "settle" in the sense that you can be more at ease with yourself and not in panic/over-analysis mode. Settled, more at rest, more at peace.
