Better than the fifth book, not as good as the first three. I'm still reading them, though, so take that as you will.

This was such a fun ride. I really enjoy Charley's ridiculousness. I cannot wait to continue the with book 7.

Darynda Jones doesn't shy away from throwing everything (including the kitchen sink) at Charley. After Charley's close call in [b:Fifth Grave Past the Light|15813668|Fifth Grave Past the Light (Charley Davidson, #5)|Darynda Jones|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1355718001s/15813668.jpg|21539864] you would hope she would get a little more r&r time. That doesn't happen in Sixth Grave but Darynda Jones does include plenty of sweet moments between Charley and her "nigh affianced" Reyes Farrow.

If nothing else, Sixth Grave gives us more information about all the characters we've come to love and sets up some pretty big things to come in the rest of the series.

I'm always impressed that Ms. Jones is able to balance the many things that get thrown Charley's way in one book, but I think it speaks to the crazy, often scatter-brained PI that she's able to bounce from one case to another and the readers have nothing else to do but go along quietly.

Not everything is solved by the end, Darynda Jones does leave a lot open and throws in some interesting twists that I honestly didn't see coming. I'm very interested to find out what happens next in Charley's world. I'm not sure how long this series is supposed to go on, but it's quickly become one of my favorites. I just hope there's not too long a wait until [b:Seventh Grave and No Body|19286674|Seventh Grave and No Body (Charley Davidson, #7)|Darynda Jones|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1394039455s/19286674.jpg|27334873]

Edge of the seat from the very first sentence. I was clutching to my earphones dying to hear every single hilarious heart touching word.

Another ok entry in this rather uneven series. I loved the last one, but this felt like a place holder to me. Not much new happened until the very last chapter

This was another good book of Charley Davidson adventures. Although not as funny as #5, this book was a great addition to the series!
