Wow, just wow!! This book is an absolute masterpiece—an unforgettable, breathtaking romance between a god and a mortal, set against the backdrop of the creation of the universe, destruction, and the healing that follows. Have you ever imagined a god so deeply in love that they lose control, unable to touch their partner? This story will make you feel that tension, and the emotional depth is unparalleled. Everything about this book is perfect!

The story kicks off with a fierce rivalry between three brothers—Theos, the creator; Kheos, the god of fate; and Regos, the god of death. As time passes, their once strong bond disintegrates, and we find Theo, the grumpy king, still waiting for his destined mate, ever since he set time into motion. Watching him struggle to control his emotions while Haera undergoes her healing process is both heartwarming and heartbreaking.

Haera is a fierce, battered rogue werewolf, marked by a past that has left the snow of her province stained with her blood. Her only goal: stay on guard and stay safe. Haera isn’t your typical timid heroine—she’s a warrior reborn from fire. I loved how the author portrayed the two sides of her: her werewolf self, which embodies her strength, and her human side, burdened by past trauma. The slow-burn romance between her and Theo is so intense and consuming, it had me holding my breath through every page.

The way the author handles sensitive topics with such care, especially Haera’s healing journey, made me weep. The book isn’t just a romance; it’s a powerful exploration of vulnerability, where love and healing intertwine in the most profound way. It’s a must-read for any fantasy fan out there!

I love love this books so much. I love the world that the author has created. The first 20 % was slow , she was building up the character and their story which I love. But when they meet. I was obsessed with them since their meet. I love Theos and Haera since start. I love her in interaction with his brothers, the other gods. I love this story so much and I want more of it

3rd person.

What would you do if you said a prayer to hide your feelings about a man and said man was the god prayers went to? Die of shame.

Well… It was a slow build. The first few chapters. I almost DNF’d but I got through it. Don’t give up, it’s a beautiful book. The plot was gorgeous. It got better, when they met it just clicked and flowed. After everything she had been through, there was no one else meant for her but him and no one else meant for him but her. There was one part in the book (when you understand the title) that made me cry. The love between them was so beautiful.

I know the author said she would change parts of the book. Totally support her decision to do so. The book is and will still be amazing in its own right.

Check TW. Some parts got dark. Heavy themes in this book.

Ugh this was SO GOOD.  Haera was such beautiful character and I was rooting for her the entire time to find happiness.  I'll admit Theos kind of made me mad a few times (typical of a God) but he grew and learned and in the end was everything he needed to be for Haera and his creations.  Making me mad at a character but then having them grow over time to where I absolutely love them is such a great way to write a character.
Azalea did an amazing job.  I'm really excited for Kheos and Regos to get their books... and they better get books after the way Azalea made me love their characters...

✨Gods. Gods. Gods✨

"𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒆𝒆𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒇 𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒔𝒚𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒔, 𝑯𝒂𝒆𝒓𝒂.”

Wow, I’m a little in awe of this book, simply Breathtaking. I absolutely love all the side-characters, they’re amazing that I can read several chapters solely on them. The world and storyline were so mesmerizing and intriguing, I literally read the whole book in one night, I couldn’t bear to put it down.

"𝑰 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅𝒔– 𝑰’𝒅 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒆𝒙𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝑯𝒂𝒆𝒓𝒂.”

This book is equally dark, sensual, unsettling and a little twisted with its elements. The language is beautiful, every word matters. And love! Well, it really pushes all the boundaries, it transcends time and space. The intense slow burn romance between Theos and Haera is truly amazing.

“𝑫𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒃𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆. 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒏𝒍𝒚 𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒔 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑰 𝒓𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒕.”

I can only imagine what Azalea has in store for the furthering and deepening of this fantastic world she has created, I'm more excited for the side characters especially Kheos and Rheos. I have come to the conclusion that nothing I write will ever give this book the justice that it truly deserves. Azalea has written such an amazing story that I am left utterly speechless, the characters!!!!! Her characters are so vivid, I can visualize every one of them without even trying. Thaos is definitely in my top 5 favorites.

“𝑯𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒕, 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒕, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆. 𝑨𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒕 𝒐𝒏𝒄𝒆.”

Also somewhere along the way, the book turns itself on end and becomes something entirely new and completely its own unique masterpiece. I am seriously in love with this book now. I have no doubt that the next book in the series will be even better, and I am going to lose it a little each day waiting for it to be released!

**Thank you so much to Swipe the book and Azalea Valaine for the ARC

“Until I Have Healed You” is a complicated book to review. It is by far the best case of why tropes are sometimes very misleading to the detriment of the book itself. It all feels so small right now after having read the book. This is a journey through healing and processing trauma.

When I say this is a complicated book, it’s because it lives outside of what we would consider a regular plot. It does have a beginning, middle, and end but there’s nothing here that is what we traditionally consider a plot point.

This is a slow read with an extremely slow burn. This is not for readers who want a quick-paced story. The beginning is at least 100 pages of build-up to the actual beginning of the story of what I would consider the first act, but as soon as the book hits those 20% we get full speed ahead with Haera appearing.

Since this is a first book I understand perhaps the need to elaborate more on the worldbuild and the build-up, especially the backup story between the brothers: Theos, Kheos, and Regos. I'm not sure if some readers will be discouraged when first starting. If you are, don’t give up! It gets really good after the introduction of the World.

Theos, literally God, has instructed Kheos to find his mate and keep her until one day he’d find her. When he finds Harea she is being attacked again by her old pack. She has been outcasted by her pack, forced to survive on her own, still processing her trauma after being SA. Azalea has done a terrific job portraying Harea as a victim of SA since she finds herself intensely guilty for having gotten pleasure from the act. That was a point I found incredibly interesting because it can happen. We see her navigating the remorse she has because she felt her body betrayed her. This is something that is not explored often in books because I think nowadays readers are more focused on judging taboo themes, and how the author has written the scene and while we never saw it directly, we have Harea’s POV of the SA. She feels disgusted with herself for allowing it. It can happen that a woman can find pleasure in SA but we are always led to believe that that is not possible and Harea’s description and thoughts of her assault are very moving.

Theos needs to heal Harea not only physically but mostly in mind. She is a person who has been neglected by everyone. The people she believes are her friends betray her, her own family turn their back on her and she believes the Gods answer to no one. Theos needs to convince Harea that she is worthy of everything. She is worthy of good. She is worthy of love. She needs to be worshipped. And Theos will show her that. She is worthy of the love of a God and will be worshipped by millions.

Apart from the slow start, I think “Until I Have Healed You” handles trauma exceptionally well. Theos is a God who could not control the life of his mate and in the process, she has suffered beyond imaginable. Her voice is extremely sad in a lot of chapters, almost heartbroken for everything she has been through. Theos is the first person who does not give up on her and keeps healing her until she accepts that her life can be one of happiness. It is a beautiful story.

NOTE: I read the smut scenes will probably be removed or perhaps the second book will be smut-free and I am totally fine with that. The scenes were pretty good, the author no longer identifies with those scenes and that’s ok but I also believe when we explore such dark themes we may need something else to have some relief, especially on such bigger books. Smut is a good way to give the reader a bit of a rest of all the darkness surrounding it, so I hope that if the author remains smut-free (which she should, if she no longer cares for that) the next book will at least have some happiness, some hope throughout the novel.
