This is a cute read. I love how it does sprinkle in some social commentary, but of course the romance and charecter arcs are where it's at.

Bee and Nolan.

This was going to be a five star read for me but I think Nolan's fuck up and apology was rushed through far too quickly. He fucked up big time. Like Big Time.

Overall it's good - a very diverse and queer cast, the sex was amazing, the concept hilarious, the stakes definitely high enough. I feel in contemporary novels that the stakes for the drama are never that high but they definitely are in this book! Nolan needs a regular check and healthcare for his mentally unwell mother - who he loves and never shames and has good supports in place but damn the USA health are system is BROKEN. And Bee definitely wants to have a longer career than porn can give her. Her stakes aren't as high as Nolan's but they feel real regardless.

I wish that Bee hadn't fully pulled back from porn in the epilogue. Maybe something about working with her friend Jack would have worked for me better than a full pull back.

I had seen this book everywhere last holiday season so I knew I wanted to get my hands on it this year & I'm so glad I did!

Smutty Hallmark movies are definitely my vibe and this book was full of sweet and spicy scenes - which is what every romance lover enjoys. It had so many tropes going on at once but it didn't feel overdone. I loved Bee and her character in all her plus-sized glory. Nolan was also giving Harry Styles the entire way. Having books like this talking about sex workers is a great way to give people a better understanding of sex work & hopefully more empathy. Nothing felt forced in this book or like it was trying too hard to be progressive like some TV movies do. Everything felt very authentic and natural and that made for an enjoyable read.

Surprisingly didn't feel like much of it was rushed and honestly I just wanted more scenes of Bee and Nolan together but it wrapped up well. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series next holiday season!

I did really enjoy this because of the writing.  It just drew me into the characters.  I loved the element of filming a "Hallmark" movie (they call it Hope Channel).  The romance was believable enough for me.   It was very spicy-too spicy for my liking, but some would love it.  Just know going in that our main character is a porn star, and the book does not shy away from talking about porn or any of the specific details surrounding it, either.

Another book that was absolutely right what the doctor ordered leading up to Christmas! I liked how sex work and sexuality and fa  culture was handled in this, and I'm incredibly impressed by how cohesive the writing feels especially with two authors coming from different backgrounds. Made me want to winter in Vermont again, and super excited to see where this series goes!

HOT N SPICY

This was a fun read and I'm looking forward to the sequel. I think the topics were handled well by the writers. I usually like a romance where the conflict is outside of the lovers, rather than between them, but I found myself wishing for a little more tension (not the sexy kind) between the two MCs when
Nolan reveals that he knows that Bee is Bianca Von Honey.
The way it happened made me think it was going to play out to be more of a conflict between them, but it was seemingly just brushed off.

Other'n that I liked it. I'm a sucker for "celebrity crush fantasy come true" romances. Also, as someone on the asexual spectrum idk if people are that horny in real life but it's fun to read about LOL

OH AND this book handled having bisexual main characters (especially the male MC) THE BEST of ANY romance I've read recently! It was A+!

All -ist and -phobic content warnings are from parts of the plot, not any wrongs committed by the authors.
