it’s the same setting with the first book but guess who keeps eating this shit up :P where part-time husband is more of enemies-to-lovers trope, this one is a mix of bffs-to-lovers and teenage-crush tropes.

hunter is so hawt btw

Hunter is a sweet guy, loyal to a fault. In fact, he's so loyal that things in his life turn for the worse and he ends up in jail. Now that he's out, he's got a chance with Sam and he's not going to blow it... or is he going to let the demons from his past steel his future?

Samantha was the good sister, the one that never brings trouble to the family and she did just what her grandfather wanted without even noticing it. She got married. *smiles* The good thing for her, she married the boy she loved and got a happily ever after.

I loved Noelle Adams writing style. The book was well done, with a steady pace that made it even fast for me because before I knew it, I was done with the book. In one sitting. That is just great though because it means the story has a good hook and it's very interesting.

The sweetness in this story was just adorable at times. Samantha was so inexperienced in life and Hunter, taking her into those experiences and keeping her with him was awesome. I loved him even more for those moments of sweetness.

I would recommend this book to anymore that loves a good romance to spend your time in. I don't think you can go wrong with Practice Husband.

emotional lighthearted medium-paced

Really loved all the romantic examples from literature, and how truly normal the heroine is (if a little clueless.) I was actually curious how the author was going to make a second super quick ‘marriage of convenience’ trope work in the same family but, if anything, this one was slightly more plausible. It hits some of the same beats, but I liked the slightly awkward first time, and there’s a scene where the MMC comes home to find the FMC using a vibrator to get off after reading a steamy scene in a romance novel. He’s slightly affronted at first, but then asks to read the scene and then asks her if she wants to act it out, it’s also a little awkward when she realizes that sometimes authors leave out crucial steps, then he goes off script and uses the vibrator as part of the scene . . . It was glorious. I will say, Noelle Adams’s FMCs (often single 1st person POV narrators) are a little slow on the uptake, but it’s all in service of great reveals later on. Like, you know it’s coming, you just don’t know exactly how or when. Personally, I find it worth a little short term frustration, bc she so often makes it worth my while in the end.
