I am convince that no one can write pining and yearning like RY. This book was amazing! I am not a fan of the “we can’t be together “ trope but this worked because of Nate’s military service. This book follows Izzy and Nate over the course of 10 yrs. Even though they are not a couple, they are drawn to each other over and over. Their love for each other was so intense!

This book is like a warm touch to your heart. Gurl, I was crying with those last few pages. Nathaniel Phelan and Izzy lovestory is not like so what many people have. For those years that they aren't together you will get that it was sad, and lonely. I know I will probably not gonna marry a soldier, but imagine the feeling of those women who have their husbands or boyfrienda work on fields like that. Having no idea of either they get to see their love ones once again. 

This book although focuses on the heartbreaking timeline of how two people get to see each other and figure out the perfect time for their shot of love, it also points narcissist family, war, and sacrifices. I know the book lacks discussions of how things turned out, or some viewpoint of how things is, but I love this book. This is my first book from the author. First book to read in August and I think I'm going forward with The Last Letter. I love doing this to myself.

Did I expect to read this entire book today? No but look at me now

I’m not normally into military romance but I KNEW QUEEN YARROS WOULD BRING THE HEAT

and she 100% did. (I mean… I did read this entire book today)

The writing any non-linear storyline gave me major Carley Fortune vibes and I was not mad about it AT ALL. And without spoiling anything, it also kinda gave me divine rivals vibes (even tho this is NOT a fantasy and divine rivals kinda is)

anyway, I loved this and will continue to devour anything Rebecca Yarros writes
