This was a quick enjoyable read; not life changing, but I have no complaints. The author's syntax and style was pleasant and engaging; a delightful compliment to the slightly horrific content. I thought the characters were cute and found the descriptions of their peculiarities and quirks to be fairly endearing. I also loved the desription of the house and the theme of found family.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would at first. The audiobook narrator was frankly irritating to me and his voices didn’t line up with the characters in my head well at all. But I honestly liked the ending despite it being reviewed as disappointing for other readers.
