enjoyed this book way more than i thought. at first the beginning had me a lil lost but it grabbed my interest eventually. this is the first book i ever read that actually made me uncomfortable and disturbed on what was happening. it also provides such an interesting idea of a living plant. what does that look like? this book was def unafraid to be itself and i think that’s what made it so good. it had some crazy moments. would recommend. just can be a bit slow at times

Completely different to any other book I’ve read, quite suddenly gory but not as scary as I thought it would be - good vivid language you get a decent feeling of the flowery greenhouse and darker basement and stuff, very interesting

The characters were extremely alive. The author has some very poignant observations about humanity.
