5 NEW KINGDOM CROWNS
Omg!!!!! I said before and I’ll say it again. THIS WORLD IS MY FAVORITE MAFIA WORLD. You can’t change my mind. Bring on more. I need more.
I fell in love with the first generation of the Eagle Elite, and Ruthless Princess, book one (stand-alone) in the second generation, starts off with a bang.
Junior. Savage and I love him. Serena. A bad b*tch. They are fire together, and I couldn’t get enough of them. Their love is all consuming, the take on the world for you kind of love and I’m here for it. Their love is the epic kind, and their moments of sacrifice and the emotion felt so authentic and real. My heart ached for them, my kindle steamed up with their passion, and their anger was kindling for it all.
And all the kids who we meet, I loved. My heart hurt for them, they made me laugh and cry, and I wanted to be a part of their crew, this family who supports each other with honor and heart. I’m here for the #bloodinnoout oath. Sign me up.
The one thing Rachel Van Dyken always does with the Eagle Elite is builds a family. You felt it with the first generation, and, to be honest, I felt it more with the kids. They live and die by the rules, but these young adults had the challenge of also living up to their parents, carrying the weight that it entails. I would also venture to say that these kids may be a bit more savage than their parents, and, again, I’m so here for it. I love absolutely love where Rachel too is and where she ended this story, and I’m dying for more. I NEED MORE. I swear she could write in this world forever.
Rachel Van Dyken has started off the new Eagle Elite generation with a romance laced in darkness and chaos. Serena and Junior’s story is fraught with danger and passion that is all consuming. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. This will without a doubt be a must read of 2020.

I read this book because I was looking for mafia romance stories in which the FMC is morally gray and/or villainous. This book delivered on that, which is that she is a stabby, rage-fueled, mafia don's daughter.
But there were things that just sort of bothered me.
1) FMCs "hate you so much" did not seem authentic at all. Acting like she hated the MMC while being around him every minute of every day was really juvenile. It was as if we'd given weapons to 13 year olds with crushes on each other. I didn't get the sense of true angst about wanting to be with the MMC, even though she'd only had sex with one other guy ever. She didn't seem like a girl who had grown up too fast and seen too much. She just seemed spoiled and ridiculous and flouncy, which was too bad.
2) the MMC is named Junior, which... this is a mafia romance, and everyone has Italian or Russian mob roots, and his name is **junior**. Maybe it's because I come from a small town in the southern USA, but damn this made me imagine him in overalls and a plaid shirt every-fucking-time, and that was a true buzzkill. "Oh my god yesssssss Junior".... No. No, no, no, no. That being said, MMCs dialogue and sex scenes were good. If you can pretend his name is something else, then you're all set there.
3) The lack of characterization of the surrounding members was also unfortunate. Ash, Breaker, Nixon, Chase... I could not tell you what they look like or anything about them, which is sad because their dialogue and personalities and backstories were fascinating and I wanted more. This only threw into stark light how annoyed I was with our two main characters' situation.
All in all, 3.5 stars from me. Solid mafia romance read that is atypical for the genre.

Well, that was quite a ride. And RVD did it yet again. This book was fantastic. It pulled me in and wouldn’t let go until I read that last sentence. It was fantastic.
Holy fuckballs y’all!
I had to pick this up and put it down a few times because my emotions were all over the fucking place!
This is my favorite mafia book that RVD has ever written! I know, I know, how? This is PHENOMENAL! This is what my mafia dreams are made of!
This may be in the EE world but you don’t need to read the EE series to understand it. To me, Ruthless Princess was the intro into the mafia world that I needed and didn’t get in EE. I needed the gritty, raw, nasty, violence and passion that Ruthless Princess brought out. Rachel came out fucking swinging with this one!
If you have read the EE series you will fall even more in love with our favorite men and women! You’ll also have moments where you want to knock them over the head with a brick or shoot a pinky off.
Serena and Junior are so much like their fathers but equal parts their mothers and that’s what saves them. They are passionate to a fault! Passion is not just an emotion it’s who they are! They will take you on a rollercoaster ride of all the feels!
This was the steamiest RVD book I’ve ever read! Panty melting HOT!!! Be prepared to be hot and bothered pretty much the entire time you’re reading Ruthless Princess. You’ll get your smut fix for sure with this one!
Don’t let the smut fool you though. You will ugly cry, yell, scream, and want to go a few rounds in a basement with some of the characters. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!
This is the beginning of a new mafia royalty and damn is it good!

I was provided an early copy and here is my honest review
What a rollercoaster, I’ve survived it. Mafia book shoot me with adrenaline, my heart was pounding so fast but it’s what’s we like when we read this kind of book and this one. I wasn’t prepared for it, I didn’t know the parents I went on it with a blindfold.
all this secrets and rules made my head spin. The first chapter push you in the forbidden land, let’s break rules and don’t let them catch you, make us bleed in and don’t let a trace about what you’ve done, this is what this book did to me.
There is a lot of chemistry in this book, Love and Hate in this story mean the same thing, but the passion the characters put in it hell, I’m 100% for this love hate thing, I don’t want fairytale in this world.
This Mafia royalty family got me for good, the next gereration are stronger and Serena follow her gut and I like it, she’s not here to stay behind the boys, she’s here to rule . The equality between them is marvellous and the girl didn’t shade a tears about it.
I can’t wait for what is coming at them, this family is ruthless and I like it. I’ll say no more because there is so much and I need to keep everything for myself you just need to enjoy as much I’ve enjoyed it.

I love the Eagle Elite and I love Rachel’s writing and seeing how her brilliant mind translates into books. That being said, while I can’t wait to see where everything goes with this series, I like the parents more than the kids. I genuinely like where the kids want to take things, and I enjoyed the book, so I’ll definitely be reading the rest of the series!
Well my heart is torn and unrepairable. Are you flipping kidding me. How in the world do I recover from this? Junior and Serena are here to take the throne as the new mafia king and queen but fighting against attraction and love could destroy it all. No touching within the families is easier said than done. While these two try and hide what they are from the families another love is destroyed while a third could possibly be blooming. This story was everything I wanted and more with the added bonus of heartbreak and twisted turns. The mafia is unpredictable and I think that’s why I love it. There is no way your eyes will stay dry through this book. Is Asher going to be Chase 2.0? What the hell is going on with Violet? Breaker has some hidden secrets I’m gonna need to know. I have so many unanswered questions. My heart is all torn apart. My mind is blown to smithereens. And I’m pretty sure my emotions are shot. De Lange’s? AGAIN!!!! This book not only helped bring Junior and Serena’s story full circle but opened up new stories to come. Idk if it’s just me but Serena reminds me so much of Mo. It makes sense really. Mo was the first mafia princess. Rachel why am I obsessed with this mafia world? You gave us the perfect amount of the original gang and I loved it. You cannot have Eagle Elite without Nixon Chase Tex and Phoenix. It just doesn’t make sense. I will always have a special place in my heart for those four. Their kids may be taking over but we all know they will still kick their ass if needed. It’s safe to say this book was a great start to this new series. Mafia lives on. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the kids handle this life. I am really looking forward to Breakers book. Rachel has set it up perfectly to finish off Ruthless Princess. May 19th is upon us. Get yourselves this masterpiece. You don’t want to be late to the show.
