After the opening novella, why did I even? I really don’t know. Clearly. It’s a me issue. But this book is ridiculously bad. Or badly ridiculously.
Got to chapter 10 and I couldn’t take it anymore. This is a terribly written book, with a terrible storyline and terrible characters, which has incest I think? I’m not sure, they’re related but not related, I don’t know and I don’t really care, nothing is explained properly.
Gives a Wattpad vibe, but not the good Wattpad books, the bad, cringey, badly written, insufferable Wattpad books vibe. I CANNOT finish it.

Rachel Van Dyken is one of my favorite mafia romance writers that I’ve come across. Ruthless Princess is the first in her new Mafia Royals series. While it takes place at in the same setting as her Eagle Elite series this can be read as a stand-alone. You do not need to read any Eagle Elite books beforehand. Some of the same characters appear from Eagle Elite in this series which was SO enjoyable to read more about them, however, they aren’t the focus anymore.... The second generation of Eagle Elite has arrived!!! Literally this book was everything I could have wanted. It made me so happy and then so angry I wanted to throw my phone (ebooks are not as easy to throw as physical books). Honestly Rachel Van Dyken did not disappoint or hold back. She was able to write a book that had the same energy and banter as Eagle Elite, but was also completely new and different at the same time. This book follows Serena Abandonato and Junior Nicolasi — once best friends turned enemies. Will there love outgrow their hate? I guess you’ll have to read and see.

This booooook!!!! I don’t even know where to start! I want more now!!! When I first started reading this book I was like...it’s good so far. Then the more I got into it the more I couldn’t put it down. This was such a rollercoaster of a ride!! I have soooo much to say, but I won’t because I don’t want to ruin nothing for anyone!! All I know is that even though the books in the series are all standalones I want the next one now!!! I have been sucked into this world I don’t want to leave! I have not read the Eagle Elite series, but I will be! Even though you don’t have to read them to read Ruthless Princess I think I would of had a better understanding of their world and why things are the way they are if I had read them first. This book will stick with me for a bit! I would absolutely recommend this book!

Ruthless Princess is the first book in the Mafia Royals series by the fabulous Rachel Van Dyken. The Queen of Mafia. The Spinner of heart wrenching tales. The purveyor of addicting stories. Mafia. The Eagle Elite. We love them. We fear them. We miss them. They grew up, fell in love. Lost some along the way. Had families. The Mafia Royals are their children. The heirs to the Five Families. First rule, no dating each other. It complicates things. Serena and Junior are not supposed to be together. It's not possible. Except it is. They are best friends. They hate each other. They love each other. But the price you pay to love your enemy is death. The queen and king can't be who they are supposed to be and be together? Can they? What happens when the heirs decide to take matters into their own hands? To think for themselves? Can they save Serena and Junior from the ultimate sacrifice for family? Oh man! This story gutted me and put me back together like only Rachel can. My love for Nixon, Chase, Phoenix, Sergio, Tex, Dante, and Andrei is only stronger after meeting their kids. The ones who are taking over and showing their fathers they are who they made them. I'm in love with this second generation and I can't wait to read each and every story! Rachel keeps giving us what we want. Raw, real, sexy mafia with a side of humor and blood. I loved every minute even though I had to read through my tears and laughter. I never doubted she was going to give me what I needed in the end.

Rachel is the queen of mafia!! Each time she releases a new book I think “there’s no way she can top that”...well once again I am sitting here & shocked. I knew Serena would be a badass. She had no choice—Nixon & Mo’s ruthlessness and Trace’s heart! And Junior...he has moved in to my #2 spot (Nixon is still #1;)) every girl wants a guy who will die for her {swoon}. I am in love with this mafia generation. Bonus we get to see all the parents too
