This is the best FF book so far.

ok so I've finished the first short story (blackbird), I really liked the concept of it and I feel like it was executed well enough but the ending was a bit weak. If this was taken down a different route I feel like i would have enjoyed it more because the ending seemed kind of sudden and forced but the rest of the story was good. 3.5/5

ok so the second story has been read (the real Jake). now, this story was one I wasn't expecting in the slightest, there weren't any real elements of horror which is a bit surprising for a FF book. While it didn't have any of the traditional elements of horror, it was the most realistic one and one that could happen to anyone and I think that adds to the story as well because it's kind of like real life horror. This one was the most emotional story there was, it was different from the normal FF style of stories but I really liked it. The ending is good but I want more, I feel like it's left one or two unanswered questions. 4.5/5

the third story (hide and seek) was the story with the most horror in it, the ending felt a bit sudden but other than that it was quite a good story. I liked how it played on the strengths of the authors which can be seen in the other stories in the series, the more psychological horror side of it rather than something like the supernatural. Again, the only thing that really holds this back is the ending. I also like that shadow bonnie made an appearance in this one

Overall, it is the best FF book so far, I've really liked all 3 stories in this one and I really like the element of reality put into the second story but the main thing holding back each one was the ending, all the endings feel a bit sudden or rushed rather than having a slower build up to the ending but it makes sense since each story is about 70 pages so the pacing is probably a bit more difficult to get right

blackbird: 3.5/5
the real Jake: 4.5/5
hide and seek: 4/5

The theme of guilt and it’s self destructive nature was pretty blatant in this one. The stories themselves didn’t seem entirely cleverly related to any particular part of the lore either, so it lost my attention fairly often, though the second story was an interesting tale on its own! The gruesome finish of the main three stories felt out of place in this book ultimately, but in place with the series so that was a pro! The bonus tale at the end of the book connected and clarified so much information regarding the end of The Fourth Closet that it was ultimately the strongest part in this one despite not being part of the headline stories.

Overall, I could have been more enthralled but these felt like repeats of the same concept as a couple past books of the series.

Dude, honestly the best Fazbear Frights entry yet.

All three stories were honestly better well written. All of the Fazbear Frights novels aren't badly written, but honestly, this one just flowed better I think. The stories also felt like some of the darkest ones yet. I know kids read these, and they're who these books are written for. I feel like a little scare and shock is good for any age while it comes to reading, but these felt if they were written for older kids for sure.

The first one was good, very suspenseful and just a fun story, where honestly the main character, Nole got what he deserved. Definitely need more of Blackbird in the future, he was generally a scary character!

The second story was about a nanny taking care of a dying boy while his dad is in the army. I feel if you're reading these stories then you're probably into FNAF lore, then you'll know the only thing linking this story to the Fazbear universe, is Evan and Micheal, the boy's dad and his uncle. While on the more bittersweet side, it was such a good read. I knew what was coming but was really hoping for a twist.

The final story was my favorite of the three. Toby is just trying to beat his brother's high scores in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place. The new game Hide and Seak, with everybody's favorite rabbit, is haunting him, But Toby is determined to get the highest score, no matter what it costs. I think this one was the darkest one, the end caught me off guard, and I loved it.

Six books in and maybe I should stop being so surprised by how good this series is, but once again, Blackbird has showed me just how great these little stories are. This is another collection of three short horror stories—Blackbird, The Real Jake, and Hide & Seek—with an additional snippet of the Stitchwraith story at the end.

I’ll be honest, the first and third stories were good and disturbing. But the second one, The Real Jake, was actually deep and emotional to the point I actually teared up.

Another win from the Fazbear Frights series!

Pretty good!

‘The child’s bedroom was crowded, even though it held only two people. It was crowded because it held so many hopes and so many regrets. It was crowded because it held the potential for so much more than what was.’

The Real Jake 5/5: I am telling you, dit was zo immens heartbreaking. The Real Jake definitely did. All in all gewoon zo mooi.

Was verder wel funny maar weer beetje hetzelfde idee can ‘running away from something you can’t run from’.
