Much better, this one in the arc was a more exciting read. Ivypaw and Dovepaw are still whiny, but less so at least.
Flametail’s death was awful and tragic, and I couldn’t stop reading that scene. And then the last scene with the Dark Forest was captivating and exciting. We also get our first glances into Shadowclan life, which is great.
