Aithar is the ultimate golden retriever hero in this second installment in the Sunrise Cantina series. He’s ready to fall in love with someone who will love him back.

Michaela, like many of the human women on Risda, is a bit of a loner who deals with her share of anxiety and PTSD. She was a bit of a tough character to love, but Aithar loved her enough for everyone.

This is a fairly quick story in the Risdaverse/Sunrise Cantina universe but in addition to telling Aithar and Michaela’s story, it helps readers get to know future heroes and heroines.

Ruby Dixon books are always a good time. I'm partial to these endearing red clone guys. The epitome of golden retriever boyfriends.

Another sweet little read. I really liked Aithar. Michaela was very unique in that she was in charge and yet a ball of anxiety/fear/control.
Both heroines so far in this series have had pretty severe anxiety issues and as someone who struggles with that- while it’s on the nose, it’s harder to really immerse myself in to enjoy and not sit there absorbing their feels.
I’m really enjoying the new world she’s crafted as an aside to Risda. The missing persons aspect of this one promises to be an interesting tale as well… I just hope that she’s not coming from a horrific place 😬.
I loved the authors note and do look forward to the diverse and new stories to come!
