Vi Keeland is one of my instant buys any time I am looking for a fun steamy love story, as she never disappoints. This book was an enjoyable easy read and I really liked both the main characters.

Really enjoyed this one! I was getting very frustrated with how long it was taking the protagonist to get her shit together, but in the end it was really cute and well written.

I want to read more older woman/ younger man.

(really mild spoilers ahead but I figured it was best to be safe than sorry, I don’t wanna jinx it for anyone)

Ah GOSH. I really, really loved this. Giving it 4.5 and chunking half a star because it didn’t make me cry... and I always seem to need to burst into tears for a book to be a 5 star read for me. Haha. Yeah, a quirk.

Ford is SUCH a sexy name for a man. I never realized this before but oh man, OH MANNNN it really is and I adored Ford of this story. He was witty and sweet but also a dirty talker so it was all perfectly balanced out.
Valentina was an amazing female lead. She had such a vibrancy to her, her will to own her life and be out there achieving stuff in the fields she loved — I was so into that. I loved how happy they made each other and how parallel but NOT (!) their relationship felt to Ford’s parents’. It made for a beautiful reality check, in the best way possible, might I add.

I want a beach house in Montauk and I want one now! That setting made for a such a cozy vibe that I always look for regardless of the genre I reach for.

Awww. I’m just so thoroughly endeared.

This is honestly your typical Vi Keeland romance book but these books are always what I turn to when I feel a reading slump coming on and honestly, it helped

I was sooo excited to read this book when I read the synopsis and it didn’t disappoint. I liked reading a story where the woman was older in the relationship and how it’s not deemed “normal” and very rare. The characters were likeable especially Valentina’s friend Eve. This story kinda suffered from the ‘let’s add people to push the story along’ and for that I would have preferred that it was longer so that the story could be more flushed out and we got to actually read about experiences rather than told this is how it went. Nonetheless I couldn’t stop smiling at the banter and just wish we got more from the epilogue cause it was way too short !!!!

I truly believe every woman needs a Ford Donovan in their lives. He was this super sexy confident 25 year old that pursued an older divorcee in her forties. The chemistry, the pull and push was comical. But once the true chemistry clicked on it was lit! This was an age gap tale, but with a younger man and I really enjoyed it. An easy read, filled with laughs and sighs. A soild 3.8 read for sure. Try it out!

DNF@ 37%. This is a super sweet age gap summer romance but theres no drama or angst so its a bit meh; also I couldn’t quite connect with Valentina even though there’s nothing wrong with her.

Really enjoyed the plot point. Was cute, fun, and sweet. I think we may have spent too much time on the age difference and stretched that way farther than need be but that’s fine. Enjoyed it all the same.

This is like a welcome back from Vi Keeland. I am always on the up and down when it comes to Vi Keeland’s books. I love her style of writing and characters, but sometimes I was not able to connect with her books.

This one was different. I fell in love with Valentina and Ford. They had something about them, they were just them so realistic and so carefree at the same time.

It was the first time for me to read a book with such an age gap especially when the woman is older, and I am not regretting it. I loved that despite the title, the age was not the only center theme, there was a lot of stories woven together.

“I should have never walked away. I thought if I let you go, if you came back, you would be mine for good.”
“When someone is already inside of you, you can’t just let go of their heart. The only way to disconnect is to break it.”

Ford was a man full of flaws yet full of life. I loved him a whole lot. I loved how he himself was full of struggles and I admired him. His passion and love, the way he held on to his parents’ fairytale and looked up to them. I even liked how the story of his parents remained in the dark.

The way he loved Valentina slowly and with passion, was perfect. He pushed through her fears.

“We go through life picking up puzzle pieces, and we never really know where they’ll fit or how they’ll come together to form the big picture. I’d spent years trying to fit pieces into places they didn’t belong, but never really felt complete. Until today. All of my puzzle pieces finally clicked into place, and I could see the beautiful picture.”

Valentina was a woman trying to overcome her hurt yet fight her heart deepest desires. Her emotional struggles pained me, she was a woman who deserved to be happy more than anyone else.

Valentina’s side of the story lacked a more in depth relationship with her son. I wanted to explore their dynamics more and how they dealt with each other.

Eve and Valentina are goals. I loved them.

I loved that Valentina struggled and she was realistic. She got over it slowly and I enjoyed the process.

”My insides were turning to mush. This man could own me—he could ignite my body with dirty words one minute, telling me the things he wanted to do to me, and then make my heart swell with his sweet side. It was a damn dangerous combination. There wasn’t much I wouldn’t give him right now.”

Valentina was ready to get over her douche ex and live her life -with caution- Yet Ford through her plans when he showed up in her life, all grown up.
