Real score 3.99. Because that’s what I gave the last book a couple of hours ago and this wasn’t any better or worse. Different. I think I’ve defaulted to four-ish for everything unless it rocks my world (5) or I hate it (3). A fairly simplistic system. I suppose the thing for me with this was I wasn’t convinced. Maybe it’s the old woman in me speaking.
This was a cute one. I enjoyed the story and the characters, particularly Valentina‘s best friend. As always Andie Arndt and Sebastian York are awesome narrators on audible

I think the story was flat, predictable, boring and shallow, nothing was special, and I just kept skimming. I didn't felt any connection between the H/h : they lust they f**k End of story, and in between we have Eve I didn't like her , Bella I liked her and the boy, also there's this drama of cheater husband/father. The h was annoying and a little needy.
Although the h was very old and the fact that the H was babysitting her son in the past, it worked out between' em and they marry in the end, but I THINK THE AUTHOR DIDN'T BOTHER TO CONVINCE ME HOW STRONG THEIR RELATIONSHIP WAS or how will they keep it as strong as it's beginned if it was any strength in it anyway.
The end was HEA , but given the old difference and the shallowness of their attraction, I expect Ford to get an affair after he got bored of her probably after she reaches 41 ( his parents relationship has failed despite how stronger it was than theirs ) maybe then he will understand his father or forgive him ( I hate cheating but old difference especially and old woman 12 yo is too much and it will serve as a factor or an excuse to cheat)
Don't get me wrong, I didn't digest the HEA of Ford and Val, to me it's unrealistic and unconvincing .
P.S : Sorry, you'll think I'm shallow or narrow-minded, but honestly things don't worked as simple as that in the real word .Ask an experienced.

Typical Vi Keeland. She is always a go to read. Enjoyable and i dont read a lot of age gaps but i enjoyed this one and who couldn't love Ford.
Great story! At first I was a little unsure about how I would like this story but then it took off and I loved it! It was sweet, steamy and funny. Another great book by Vi.
While I enjoyed this story, there was nothing really mindblowing that made it an unputdownable read.
Vi Keeland, I love you! I look forward to all of your books but this one is by far my favorite. It was sweet, sexy, a little angsty, but over all, just a wonderfully lovely story. Val and Ford were wonderful characters and they were just perfect!
