I thoroughly enjoyed this and even though I guess one of the twists fairly early on there were other twists that I didn't see coming. It was very enjoyable and written well.

I loved this book! It kept me guessing the whole way through. Even at the very end, when I thought everything was wrapped up, it surprised me.

I cannot believe how high this booked has been rated. This one didn’t work for me. It started strong and I felt the tension, but by the end, I was bored and over it. The plot twists didn’t blow me away and the ending was terrible. Told from multiple POV. A woman loses both her daughter and husband and she wants revenge on the man who did it. On the flip side, Wendy also went through a tragedy of losing loved ones. They decide to switch killings and help each other out. Idk what exactly was missing from this book but it just didn’t entertain me. Very mediocre

The Night of the Attack

Ruth is home alone when she hears glass shattering. She cautiously goes downstairs, only to see a man’s reflection in the broken glass. He has piercing blue eyes. He grins and whispers, “Hi sweetheart,” before stabbing her over and over.

She survives, but she’s never the same. She becomes paranoid, terrified of the world, and obsessed with finding her attacker.

Two months later, she thinks she sees him again at a hotel. Her husband, Scott, wanting to protect her, kills the man she identifies as her attacker. But when the truth comes out—that Scott killed the wrong man—he is overcome with guilt and commits suicide after turning himself in.

Now Ruth has lost everything.

And that’s when she realizes: she can make people kill for her.

Seven Years Later: Ruth the Mastermind

After spending years in a mental health facility, Ruth starts joining online and in person support groups for victims of violent crimes. But instead of healing, she weaponizes these people.

She preys on their grief, their rage, their need for revenge. She convinces them that justice will never come unless they take matters into their own hands.

One by one, she manipulates them into murder pacts—“You kill for me, I kill for you.” But Ruth? She never does any of the killing herself.

Her only rule?
 • Only kill men who look like her attacker.

Over the years, blue-eyed men keep turning up dead. Different places, different killers, but all connected by one invisible string—Ruth.

The Grieving Mother: The One Who Unravels It All

Enter Sarah.

Sarah joins Ruth’s group because her daughter was murdered. She is drowning in grief, desperate for justice, and Ruth sees the perfect person to manipulate.

Ruth starts guiding Sarah toward revenge. She makes Sarah believe that taking a life is the only way to find peace.

But Sarah isn’t like the others.

As she starts digging deeper, she realizes something horrifying:
 • The people in the group aren’t just venting. They’re committing murders for each other.
 • The real mastermind behind it all is Naomi.

And then Sarah makes the most shocking discovery of all By just hopping into a car escaping her victims house

where she meets a man who also knows about Naomi.

Her real attacker, the man with the blue eyes, knows what she’s been doing.

And knows about Naomi’s doctor so with Sarah’s help is able to take the doctor to Naomi where he removes his contacts and revels himself to Naomi.

He tells her he knows that she’s been hunting people who look like him for years and he couldn’t let her continue and she should’ve met him when they first started talking on the online

Putting the contacts back in the doctor sees Naomi going frantic and gets taken away.

Sarah and the man are supposed to go to a concert together, but it turns out he can’t go last minute so she goes with another friend. Then I just happens to be the night that her daughter’s suspected murderer is tortured and killed and she’s informed by a note signed goodbye sweetheart
