Another book club read, and we’ve been knocking it out of the park with these! This one felt like a modern-day Hitchcock—dark and suspenseful. The whole two strangers agreeing to take out each other's enemies' concept was wild, BUT THEN...the ending when all is revealed.

This is a fast moving thriller with elements of mystery involved. It begins as what seems like a copy of Hitchcock's famous - and very entertaining - Strangers on a Train, but then there is a twist (just like in that film) and another twist after that. This book does entertain as the quick pace does keep the reader interested, but at the same time one must suspend a lot of disbelief. Just the disbelief in finding parking in New York City is outrageous. The ending in particular left a lot to be desired - and a lot of questions. As a person who wears contacts, the speed of getting them in and out of one's eye without water or solution was enough to kill a lot of the plot for me. But I did appreciate the time split where the author poked fun at two of America's worse, and most idiotic, presidents.

Steve Cavanagh’s Kill for Me Kill for You is a masterfully crafted psychological thriller that keeps readers on edge from start to finish. The novel presents a gripping premise: two strangers, each burdened by deep personal trauma, make a sinister pact to eliminate each other’s enemies. But as the story unfolds, deception, secrets, and unexpected twists turn their plan into a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
One of the novel’s most compelling aspects is Ruth’s perspective. Her storyline provides an intimate, haunting look into the mind of a victim after experiencing a horrific crime. Cavanagh portrays her trauma with raw authenticity, making her character one of the most emotionally gripping elements of the book. As the story progressed, I had a lingering suspicion that Ruth and Wendy might be connected, yet the way their arcs unfolded still managed to surprise me.
The pacing is relentless, with short, punchy chapters that make the book nearly impossible to put down. Cavanagh expertly balances tension, psychological depth, and shocking reveals, making this one of the most engaging thrillers I’ve read in a while. If you enjoy high-stakes mind games and unexpected twists, Kill for Me Kill for You is a must-read. I highly recommend it.

Once again another book that I could have sworn I had the ending figured out and was more wrong than I could have imagined🤣
The title essentially gives you a good description of what this book is about, but still the detailing went above and beyond.
All the pieces fit PERFECTLY together by the end of the book, which was so satisfying.
