I really liked Auzed and Alex as a couple. Their journey from a fake fiancé arrangement to real-life lovers was both heart-warming and filled with the right amount of spice to keep things interesting.
The world building was a total standout in this book. It was so well done, and I found myself fully immersed in the setting.
That said, I wasn’t a fan of Alex’s constant movie references. Honestly, they really got on my nerves. I found them rather annoying and distracting, taking me out of the story at times. Sorry, not sorry!

Another great listen even though I had to take a lot of breaks to meet other reading obligations. The best part was obviously Wilson, lol. Their connection in the beginning really hooked me when I wasn’t sure if I’d like the direction things were going.

I really enjoyed the ending but I was definitely getting a little exasperated with the will they won’t they and all the non-communication. If they had just discussed their feelings and concerns the book would’ve been half as long, or would’ve been able to be expanded in a different direction. Their chemistry really great so it got a bit tiring to listen to Auzed fight it so damn hard, and for Alex to not be upfront.

I think Alex is the most relatable FMC so far though. She’s not TSTL but she is a bit impulsive, as anyone reasonably would be in her situation, and she can be a little reckless but again, reasonable given the situation. She also had the most realistic, imo, reaction to being abducted and mourning/worrying for her family. But she didn’t wallow, which made her a better character to me. She accepted eventually that what she had now was worth staying for and that she could communicate with her family someday, hopefully. If not actually see them again.

I’m eager to jump into the next book, it’s a good friend’s favorite of the series aside from Theo’s. ☺️

Another one downnnn i love this series so badly omfg. I think this one was so good because Alex really wanted to go home which I feel like the previous fmmc’s in this series haven’t expressed that yet. The way I was on the edge of my seat to see them together, Aveline writes romantic tension and desire soooo well. I’m always so amazed at how these books take place over a very short time period but the dynamic never feels like it is lacking! It impresses me so much. Really loved this book :) I will continue reading this series!!!!!
