If you like sports and science, you'll have a blast with this. Epstein spends a fair bit of time on the genetically and physically anomalous professional athletes and very specialized small populations (like Kenyan marathon runners), of course, but he also covers phenomena that the everyman can relate to, such as responsiveness to training and natural aerobic thresholds. I liked this balance of focus between crazy amazing athletes and variances observable on an average high school track team.

Interesting  book exploring nature vs nurture wrt sports ability. Narration annoyingly used accents for much of the dialogue

I tend to gauge how interesting and informative a book was by how much highlighting I do, and I ended up with TONS of passages saved from this book. Epstein presents a lot of fascinating ideas, research findings, and profiles with an extremely engaging narrative style. I highly recommend this book.

A very interesting premise for a book. If you don't like books (weird that you're on this site) watch his TED Talk, it gives a pretty good synopsis.
