This collection of poetry was so beautifully written; I was able to devour the entire book in one sitting and enjoyed myself thoroughly. The themes of loss, yearning and regret are very prominent and Lang Leav explores them in a way that is compelling, lyrical and absolutely gorgeously in regards to her writing.

I enjoyed this poetry collection but I don't think I would classify it as my favorite. Maybe this is because a lot of the poems were about love, and I wanted a little more diversity of poetry content. Some of my favorite poems of Lang Leav in this collection were more about resilience and self-esteem. Leav has the wonder skill of writing poems that feel at one time like a litter to a friend, but then a few lines later espoused beautiful and mind-bogglingly moving metaphors and ideas. I appreciate her writing style and definitely would come back to read more.
My favorites were: New Beginnings*, Crazy Love*, With Anyone Else*, Thirty-three Locks, Two Worlds, and Danger of Love, Too Far In, and We Never Broke Up, Writing
Lastly, one of my favorite shorter poems, titled "Strength"
Don't let them tell you that your pain should be confined to the past, that it bears no relevance to the present. Your pain is part of who you are.
They don't know how strong that makes you.

I bought this book five years ago, but only now did the words and poems really resonate with me. A beautiful book about lost love and the emotions surrounding it

I really enjoyed the poetry and prose in this book, it was really enlightening and it didn’t feel like many of the modern poetry books I have read. If you want to read about love and heartbreak I definitely recommend giving this a go.

I can never rate poetry. I just can’t. It’s too subjective, too spontaneous, too human. We don’t rank humans, or at least we shouldn’t.
So instead, I will just say that I loved this book. In the poems I found the comfort of being understood, expressed in beautiful words. I was able to see elements of my life romanticized in a way that will allow me to carry that new realization with me every day.
Love.

Felt like reading a personal journal where the first draft is the final draft. Some of the entries are really good.
