Year of New Authors

I'm old enough to remember the 90s animation, but next to nothing about it unfortunately. As such, this first trip through Jansson land of makebelieve creatures was rather confusing, and this certainly isn't a beginners entry to the Moomin universe, despite it concerning the backstory of the elders (howthey met their wives, who's whose father/mother, etc).
With beings called the Joxter or the Mymble and with little explanation on what the difference between a Moomin and Hemulen is despite them looking like the same species, I was very bloody confused.
Eventually I did what Moominpapa does, and just went with the flow to enjoy the rather silly and lovely story of Wind in the Willows meets Big Fish.
