I know the Moomins since my childhood, so I'm now extremely happy to witness the moomins again trough the books.

Tove Janssons characters are very creative and I'm sure everyone can identify with at least one character.
It was a joy to read and I'd definitely recommend it to friends!
Especially to get to know relationships between the already known characters the book is worth reading.

An excellent Moomin story. Tove Jansson mixes elements of humour, fantasy, and adventure perfectly. Definitely more geared towards nostalgic adults or more introspective and older children.

This book felt much longer on the whole of the all the Moomins books I've finished so far. I didn't dislike it, but the dynamics of the parents' characters didn't appeal as much to me for whatever reason. It was still a fun adventure, with a lot of new characters popping in to stake their place in the narrative.
