3.5-3.75- Hmmm...I enjoyed this one, even though I figured it out about half way (maybe 2/3rds) the way through. The twist was great, but the way she ended it...meh. it was just so abrupt after the reveal, that I was like, "that's it?"

Wow.. just… book one was amazing and this one… the ending is mind blowing
Omg this book was crazy. I was reading it during school so I may or may not have missed some of the plot out. I didn’t understand the plot fully and I didn’t understand the connections to the actual murderer in the end. There seemed too little info because we only met the murderer right at the end of the book. The ending was also very short, which I liked though because Karen M McManus must have wanted the readers to speculate about what ifs.
I would recommend this to some people, it was a fun read, but I don’t think it was the perfect fit for me.

Just like the last book, I loved it and it was super entertaining but the “who done it” was painfully obvious. Still good enough to read the next one. The only other thing is that the author showed her age. No one in Gen z says “we’re generation z” nor are they likely to remember the Boston marathon bombing that happened when many of them were still toddlers.
