I honestly never expected this from Selena but here we are. Plagiarism is serious and the fact that she copy pasted multiple sentences from the other book. The author even reached out to her but still,,,,,

I’m a sucker for second chance enemies-to-lovers and when I found out this one is not only that but by S.M. Soto, I knew I had to read it. S.M. is one of my absolute favorite authors, her way with words not only paint you the scene but make you feel every emotion and I’m addicted to her writing.
Daisy and Callan had amazing chemistry. They were hot. They were steamy. They were fated. I loved how fate played it’s part in reuniting them and I loved how they made me swoon and also cry for them and their love. I felt bad for Daisy at times and honestly really wanted to hand her the world on a platter and tell her to do with it what she wish

Oh god what a mess. Seriously Daisy and Callan are literally the most stupidest and pathetic characters i ever read about. Ok so the blurb says Callan was Daisy’s “bully” but I literally didnt see him bullying her, all he did was try to ignore her... THERE WAS NO BULLYING! Daisy is such a pathetic girl, she has no self respect at all, she keeps excusing Callan’s behavior and when he is being an asshole she runs to dean and when dean is being mean she runs to Callan. Thats all she did in the “past” meaning when they were in highschool, and throughout the whole book she keeps crying and whining. Oh god this girl is so useless and dumb, seriously like have some self respect will you? She cant even stand up for herself when Callan is mean and keeps running back to him again and again, crying each time...my head hurts. I wanted to slap her. I dont have any sympathy for what happend to her, she deserved it. Dean her husband cheated on her and died, like throughout her relationship with Dean she saw so many red flags and Dean was always mean to her, she didnt even love him cuz she kept thinking about Callan 24/7 like an idiot while he fucked other girls and ignored her, and then she marries Dean cuz Callan doesnt want her...and then gets cheated on. Like..after all the red flags, after knowing you dont love Dean...you still marry the dude cuz Callan doesnt notice u?

Wow! I just can NOT with this guy! Even after the book is said and done he has my head spinning with his mood swings! So basically he treats her like crap through their teen years, but he does it because he loves her and doesn't think he is good enough for her? And then the way he is totally hot and then cold with her as adults is just insane! I got to be inside his head at times and I STILL didn't understand him! So seriously, Daisy really is a freaking saint! I mean the HEA has happened.... they epilogue is finished.... I even got through the extended epilogue.... and I still CAN NOT FIGURE HIM OUT!!! What's worse is that HE ISN'T EVEN MINE TO FIGURE OUT!!! Major book hangover!
I shed quite a few tears through this book and it doesn't even surprise me.... so much spice and angst. This billed as an enemies to lovers book but really it is more a friends-to-almost lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers.

I'm taking off my 5 star rating to this book. Because the author copied another underrated author's book word to word. It maybe only a scene or two. But still plagiarism is wrong n the author should pay for her mistakes.

Their story is the real definition of enemies-to-lovers romance. The hate and angst Callan has for Daisy can be felt seeping through the pages. I felt so bad for Daisy who was in love with him for so long but never reciprocated. She is one of the strongest heroines I have ever read. She chose the second-best guy but he also betrayed her in the worse way possible. It didn't end there though as she was forced to work for Callan, the guy who hated her the most.
This is one of the most addictive books I’ve read. I'm obsessed with SM Soto's writings. It's so worth it to wait for her new books.
