I really loved it. Heart-breaking, touching, inspirational and funny at the same time :)
This is probably my favorite Cecelia Ahern book so far. An incredibly original story that does require the reader to suspend reality for a bit. It actually reminded me a bit of the movie, Drop Dead Fred. Though in this story, the imaginary friend isn't imaginary, isn't really a friend (at first), and everyone can see him. The concept of this Agency that everyone just accepts exists to employ humanized versions of peoples' lives is a bit hard to wrap the brain around at first, but I got used to it. I've mentioned this before, but I love that Ahern's characters are so flawed. They are actually pretty horrible people. Lucy's compulsive lying gets old really quick, but I think that's part of the character's growth. Magical realism and humor combine for a very charming novel.

This is honestly one of my favorite books. It always reminds me that there is hope after heartbreak and a way to find your spark again. Even if your family is dysfunctional there are always those few that you can trust. I wish honestly I could have a meeting with my life, to know if it's broken or not, to know if I am okay.
I have thanked Ahern for writing this but I want to again.
2025: Honestly the same sentiments apply as before as this book, will always give me hope as I navigate through heartbreak, grief and finding my spark again especially with the author's note at the end.
That being said, it did bother me at the beginning how mean Lucy is at the beginning although it is internal, and never said aloud towards the people she is mean to, it did bother me. Now I do get it, that she needed a point to grow from and she does, but it still wasn't pleasant. The magical realism in this book is always some of my favorite and I wish it is something I could experience because I do think in this point in my life it would help.
I do love the banter with her life Cosmo, and even though he does call her out, nag, and get at each other their growth together is everything. It also heals my heart that how her friends and family once they learn the truth stand up for Lucy and reassure her. There are also kindness and genuine apologies from all sides.

I wasn't sure about this one when I started it. I didn't particularly like Lucy, but I gave it a chance as Cecelia Ahern is an author I love and I'm glad that I did. Lucy grew on me, as did the story. On the whole, enjoyed it.
I couldn't get past the first thirty-five pages, and it's a miracle I got that far. I'm trying to work out what I hated so much about this book, but it's not easy. Some authors do the confessional style stuff really well, but Aherne doesn't seem to be one of them. The digressions are boring, the narrator is unengaging, and there's a whole lot of space-filling going on.
Who would've thought that the word "life's a bitch" could be well-defined in The Time of my Life by Cecelia Ahern. This is a book that took me a really long time to finish since I bought it yet I didn't regret finishing it
I really liked this book, beautiful ending!! Some of it was painfully awkward and cringe worthy, boarding on hard to read, and the start was so long and slow which was frustrating but the ending was lovely, one of the best endings I've read :)
I would've given this book four and a half stars but that's not possible. I really love Cecelia Ahern's style of writing and thought this book was good. I love the magical element to Cecelia's writing. This book is easy to read with characters you love or hate! Fantastic.
