This book was encouraging, and I stated reading it at a point where my own life was shifting dramatically. Honestly, I loved the concept of Life auditing a person, but I wish the author had gone into that aspect further. But the actual story itself was lovely and made me tear up. I'm a big fan of Cecelia Ahern's work, and this one didn't disappoint.

whilst i liked this book and the end result, it felt like it was dragged out and i had to force myself through it.
The timing of this book might have influenced the rating but that’s what books are meant to do in all fairness. While the surreal element could have been explored much further the simplistic message shines through and keeps the book moving. The book is fast paced and light hearted while telling so many home truths about how we treat our own lives. I loved the physicality of lucys life and their dynamic and found it entirely relatable and a satisfying and motivational story.
I love Cecelia Ahern. I like how she comes up with these fun concepts and then brings them to live with realistic characters. None of her books are stale and feel like a repeat of a previous story. That being said, my initial impression of this book wasn't as glowing as I would've wanted it to be. It took me a while to warm up to the main character and actually care about her situation. I loved the concept, and the execution was fine. Ultimately, I was entertained and got something out of this story. It was funny, and Life ("Cosmo") was just great.
I liked that while the main character got a little confused emotionally as Life became more attractive, it went no where. I also got a little crush on him, so I get it. I loved how the book didn't wrap up all of the main character's problems in a neat bow or solve them for her. She had to solve them herself, with the help of her life. I also loved that her best friend (in my eyes) was her brother, Riley. He was a great character.
The main character wasn't extremely likable, and I initially did not sympathize with her because she just seemed like she was complaining and her problems weren't that important to me, but as the story continued, the character blossomed in her own way as you realize why she is the way she is. I actually prefer it that way. She's not an easy character to swallow, and I'm glad Cecelia made her that way instead of making her a one-size-fits-all "vanilla" character. She was more human for it.
The only real issue I had was at the ending how she was a little heavy handed with a "message". I noticed this in The Gift as well. I hope this isn't going to be a pattern. I don't think those little bits to button up the story are necessary and actually take away from it. Just a small quibble though.

Why is this rated higher than Love Rosie? It's really not fair. I really loved her first 2 books and somewhat for the others. I wanted to love this too but I just couldn't. The "heroine" Lucy was a bit annoying at the start and I couldn't really relate with her. I had to struggle with the first part of the book especially with the idea that Life was literally a physical person. I just couldn't accept it. It was only until days later when I was able to "accept it a bit". I did like the parts when Don finally entered the scene and life was somehow getting better for Lucy. The book had lots of CHEESE moments in it definitely. I really wish though that the characters had been more... likable and had more depth. Ending could have been a bit better too. I think though that this is still one of the better chick-lit novels out there so I bumped it to 3 stars :)
This was so beautiful. I almost wanted to cry at the end. Cecelia Ahern is an amazing author, I must say. I'm in love with Lucy's life :')
