Mayor Pete demonstrates the importance of trust within relationships, among societies and between a government and its constituents. A must read for all political ideologies!

Listened to Pete on the audiobook. Very easy to listen to and I am a fan. This book didn't provide much insight for me but I respect and like him so much!

This is such a well-written discussion on trust, how important it is, how it can be lost, and how it can be rebuilt. It's a critical subject that is very much needed in these difficult times.

What I appreciated was the hope that is laced throughout the book, hope that we saw during Pete's Presidential campaign. His insights and suggestions are just what we all need to repair the damage that has been done to our trust in our government, institutions, and with others.

This book does a great job examining why we need trust in out government and our daily lives, how we have lost so much of it, and how we can work together to bring it back. I found so much comfort and inspiration and hope in this book and it makes me so happy to know there are others out there noticing these disturbing trends and working to make things better.

It’s nice but a little idealistic and, despite the noted efforts, does little to provide concrete ways to overcome the forces of racism and classism that prevent Americans from investing in social institutions if we don’t trust those who are not like us.
