A great read if you love food and female friendship.

I thought the relationship between Joan and Imogen was really sweet. Their letters were really low stakes but their friendship grew in a natural and compelling way. I cried a lot at the ending.
I found the food discussion kind of hard to relate to. It's interesting to see how our relationships with diverse food has changed since the 60s but the way it was portrayed in the book felt kind of funny to me.

This was a book that I wasn’t sure I was actually going to like, but I ended up really loving it. I loved the way it was written through letters and how they formed such a sweet bond. It was an easy read too so it was a much needed palette cleanser.

What a sweet little pallet cleanser of a novel! It is truly a story of food, friendship, and love. Diving into the lives of Immy and Joan who connect over their love of food, Love & Saffron is a delight!
A quick and easy read as I needed a break from some other, heavier books!
