Wasn’t for me. The premise is that Ove is a lonely person. But to me there is a difference between lonely and being asshole. It was hard to get into the book when you were supposed to feel bad for someone who was just kind of mean most of the time.

The People review at the front of the book was right. I laughed and I definitely cried.

This was such a heartwarming book and made me miss the sense of community I used to have in the suburbs back home. The chaos and love the various characters brought made me madly grin and the tragic moments of struggle and hardship made me feel somber.

It’s the reminder that you leave a mark on the lives of everyone you interact with, and no matter how small you think it is, it still matters and makes a difference.
