Would be a great class read aloud for middle grades. "Make a Difference" message.
Listened to this as a book on tape with my little sister. Must say it wasn't quite as good as I remembered it being. However still very good and will always have a place in my heart.

I love when books about kids have characters with autonomy and personality. This was a great read! Fight the good fight ✌️

Great book for my fifth grade readers about taking care of the environment and protecting animals in the midst of big company greed.
First of, I should say if you have one in the kinder set, this was more of a middle school or tween-level book. There were more than a few times where this was blatantly obvious (the bullying storyline, the subplot with Gladiator Gold cigarettes, the semi-slutty movie actress) but we stuck with it because of the environmental activism and solid writing and Atticus really enjoyed it. It impressed me how well he stayed with a story that had more characters and motivations than books we are used to.
Book club book with my 3rd graders. Such fun. They can’t wait to read the next one!
