It was not as good as the first two parts. It concluded the trilogy, though.

This book was sometimes a bit unrealistic, because Cia had to do a lot of impossible tasks. I also felt like she and her friends had to kill a lot in this book and they didn't even think about it. I mean, they did think about it, but they were just ready to kill everyone who stood in their way. Still, this conclusion was very thrilling at certain points and the plot twist at the end was kind of surprising. The first book will always be the best in the series, but I definitely enjoyed this one too.

Tensions are rising on the campus of the University as Cia prepares to take a giant step. Her involvement with the resistance and her internship with the President has led her to uncover some startling facts that could change the course of history. As Cia embarks on her new mission she has to decide who she can trust and if she can live with the decisions she makes.
The final book in this series, Charbonneau doesn't waste time getting the action started and Cia is constantly in motion. There's a minor twist at the end, and a surprisingly open ending to cap off this middle of the pack dystopian series.

A pretty mid finale. It was interesting enough to keep reading but even with the little plot twists that there were I was pretty underwhelmed by the whole thing. Granted I was never all that invested in any of the characters. I wasn't a big fan of the audiobook's narrator either. In particular I can tell that I would have likes Stacia a lot more if the narrator hadn't given her the bitchy/airhead voice and also Raffe lost a lot of his charm through the narration too. Oh well. Also I totally called
Zeen's death from like the first chapter of book one
and the way I felt nothing LOL. I can see why people liked this book for sure! I enjoyed it enough but in the end the writing style and characters didn't do much for me.

This book did not live up to the promise of the first book. It is certainly fast paced but the characters were not fleshed out and I didn't care about them.
