3.6 AVERAGE

i thought this book was relatively flat compared to the former two but the way it ended was quite interesting, though. I'm not so sure what to think about Dr. Barner or President Collindar but this was an interesting read. It talks of loss and grief and also damage which changes you, which you never fully recover from, the kind which makes you going back to the person you were, before this all started, impossible. And when it ends yo know, despite the similarities you might have seen this series wield to other popular dystopian, this is surely nothing the same. It is amazing in a way, this series is not getting out of my heart, anytime soon.

10/11/2021 Update:

A re-read really clears your mind, doesn't it? If Allegiant is bad, this was just worse. First book was awesome and it was all downhill from there.

Thought provoking end to the trilogy. All three fast-paced and intense.

This book (slash series) earns one star for not having a love triangle. This book loses four stars for literally stealing every significant plot twist straight from the Hunger Games. It felt familiar, and as I started listing them off in my head my rating dropped progressively more. The lack of originality robs all of the big moments of any emotional punch at all. Would not recommend unless you said "boy, I'd really like to read The Hunger Games without reading the Hunger Games, ya know?" In that case, this series would be perfect!

Let me just start by saying that I've been putting off this book for years. I have this probably where I never finish the last book in a series/trilogy, and this was no different. I finally finished this one, but again, it's been years since I've read the previous books. It really didn't live up to my expectations, and I thought this ending could have been better. I really wanted more from this book, but was left disappointed. While it wasn't bad, I just feel like it could have been a better ending for this trilogy that I loved so much years ago.

Kind of disappointed in the ending to the Testing series. I really liked the first two books, but in here everything was just a bit too perfect, Cia miraculously always has the right device or idea or plan to safe everybody.
The president is also a bit crazy to put the fate of her country in the hands of a teenanger and give her THAT task.
And who is trustworthy in this book? It all changes so quickly.
This book was a bit of let down, but I am happy I finished the series.

Imagine if Divergence and Hunger Games had a fan fiction baby. This right here would be the result of such an unholy union. JK. I liked the Hunger Games. But seriously though, after finishing the entire series, all I can say is...I’m pretty certain I read this trilogy already, but I thought the authors name was Collins... or was it Roth? Hrmm

Read it in one day, it was that good!
Spoiler The title is misleading though.
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole trilogy, but it left me wanting more!
Spoiler Do Cia and Tomas get married? Does she one day become president? What is going on in the rest of the world? Do Raffe and Enzo recover?
