Surprised I actually finished this trilogy. I thought this was better than #2 but the first one was just so good and they def go downhill.

1. Cia’s internal monologue is sooo idealistic and “I want to be a leader” “this is what leadership is” which is so annoying.
2. A little too outrageous of a plot.
3. Ending felt rushed - I wanted an epilogue to see what they’re doing now.

I didn't like this book as much as I liked the other two books in this trilogy.
I found that I was getting distracted a lot when I was reading this book because I couldn't get into it.

Exciting ending to a good dystopian series. I enjoyed these books with nail-biting suspense and courageous characters. If you like YA dystopian fiction similar to Divergent and Hunger Games, this is a series for you. All three books draw you into the experiences of Cia and her friends as they embark on heroic situations that challenge their abilities and question their rights as a human.

This continues to be one of my favorite series. The twists and turns and the doubts that they put into your head really get me. But I love Cia. I respect the choices she made and the things she had to do.

God I get it! You have a terrible decision to make! No please, go through the pros and cons of the decision AGAIN. I'm not sure I got it the first 50 times.

This book was a struggle to get through. Thankfully it's the last one in the series. If I thought the monologuing was mildly annoying in the previous installments, in this one it graduated to quite irritating. I ended up skipping pages to try to get to something new.

Characters were injured, died, or just disappeared, but I didn't care. Even the love interest - he could have been torn apart by a gang of hyperactive ferrets and it wouldn't have bothered me in the least. I felt nothing for any of these characters at all.

The ending was disappointing and I didn't really think it made sense. Or maybe it did. I really wasn't paying too much attention at that point.

A disappointing end to the series.

So close to a 4 star but the ending was not how I wanted this series to end.

Cassie didn’t like the ending BUT I DID
