Mae and Styx šŸ–¤.

This story was challenging because of the religious trauma and abuse along with the graphic descriptions of pediphilia and brainwashing due to the religious cult. So be warned.

Knowing that the author wrote this based off of a true eventsā€¦ heart wrenching and horrific.

But Styx and Mae šŸ˜ā¤ļø They really were meant to be, no matter how different their upbringing was. And the fact that Mae was Styxā€™s third person and he never was going to give up on her šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜ā¤ļø

2/5 on the spicy scale. The language is very crude but no kinks between the main couple. Just sweet dirty love making.

honestly i donā€™t know how i feel about this book i canā€™t tell if i like it or if i donā€™t, however for some reason i felt compelled to read the second book, not sure why because the plot itself didnā€™t really interest me. I just feel like after Mae and Styx met for the second time everything happened so fast between them, also she always mentions her friendship with Rider but we didnā€™t really get to see that happen so to me it didnā€™t really hold any appeal, i just felt like all the relationships here were very shallow, i donā€™t really read dark romance books so i donā€™t know if thatā€™s part of the genre and it usually goes that way, but i enjoy well built and deep relationships between the characters. Also make sure to read the TWs before reading because itā€™s a pretty heavy read and we get very graphic and detailed scenes from the main characterā€™s past that can be tough to get through. Nonetheless i guess i am curious enough to read the second book just to see how it goes!
