I absolutely loved this book. I think I liked it even more than the first. It starts out a little slow but I promise it gets really good so if you start this book and think of DNF-ing pls stick with it. The way both of these characters grew on me and had me loving them at the end. I absolutely loved their interactions together, they had me smiling and chuckling, swooning and fanning myself, even had to pick my jaw up off the floor a couple of times. My kids were looking at me like I'd lost my mind with me over here talking to myself😂

The cutest FMC I’ve read for a while. Matched with Jagger, this is so, so good. I was hooked from the first chapter.

This is my favorite of this series so far. Jagger and Talia’s story pulled at my heart strings. Talia is trying to figure out who she is after she finds out her fiancĂ© cheated on her. She meets Jagger on a flight, but instead they end up snowed in together. Jagger is grumpy and quiet, but so caring and that made me love him more. He was patient with Talia, listened and never judged. She wasn’t used to that, among other things and it was nice to see her be treated right, and grow throughout the story as well. When things start to heat up between them, it’s when they decide if it’s just a snowy night or if it could be more.

Talia, the female chatterbox lead, is struggling, having broken up with her cheating ex-fiancĂ© but under pressure from her religious parents to forgive him and get back together because she gave him her virginity. She’s cut and dyed her hair to start the reinvention process but she’s still very trepidatious as she boards the plane to go “home”.

Jagger, the male mechanic/professional Dom lead, is on the plane to go to a convention. He’s bemused and a little frustrated to be stuck next to Talia when he likes peace and silence. When a snowstorm stops them taking off, Jagger is left relying on Talia to drive him back to his car - which he left at his club and where they get stuck as the snowstorm worsens

Talia has never had a chance to explore her sexuality. Jagger has no interest in initiating a newbie. But he’s drawn to her innocence and vulnerability, feeling protective and wanting to provide her with a safe space. As he helps build her self-confidence and assertiveness, Talia cares for him more and more, but Jagger is sure he’s not good for her, regardless of what he might want

This story is dual POV, well written, and a contemporary, erotic, opposites attract romance. It has plenty of triggers listed by the author at the beginning of the story, many of which led to highly emotional exchanges between the characters and allowed for deep personal growth on both their parts. I enjoyed seeing Talia grow more confident in who she was and what she wanted AND that she had the right to ask for what she wanted. I enjoyed Jagger’s grudging awareness that he could like/want someone so entirely different to him. I enjoyed their erotic intimate scenes, and Jagger’s careful guidance of Talia’s exploration of what she desired, and his insistence on consent and consideration. This is actually NOT my preferred flavour of kink but I really appreciated the organic development of the characters’ relationship and balance, and how much THEY enjoyed their interactions. I adored the secondary character interactions and the banter between all characters. I enjoyed, particularly, the way Talia pushed Jagger verbally. I enjoyed the setup for at least one future story and the cameos of characters from past stories and their relationships.

I received a complimentary copy from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

At this point it's a given that I will read anything Lasairiona writes. Her books have such a way of making you connect with the characters and their stories that you can't help but fall in love with them. And boy oh boy did I fall hard for Talia and Jagger. I think there was a level of vulnerability in this one that was so different but so well done, especially when it came to Talia's upbringing and experiences. I also thought the way Lasairiona talked about trust and intimacy was so incredibly beautiful and I actually saw that in a lot of my own experiences. This was a slower burn from her other books, but it worked perfectly for the development of these characters. I thought the spice was magnificent as always and I was over here taking notes. Las nails it every single time. I loved the emotions, I loved the care and tenderness that went into this book, and I loved the realness I felt from the words on the page. As always, I loved this book wholeheartedly and I'm so glad to have books like these, where romance and love is front and center, and the characters learn and grow both individually and collectively. Beautiful book that certainly had me feeling some type of way!! Thank you to Lasairiona for providing me with an e-ARC to read and review!

Wow, just wow! This book had me from the first two chapters. I could not put it down!

This book has amazing representation and elegantly handles the different traumas that the main characters have.

Obey was an amazing, realistic and steamy read.

The Protocol Series, is quickly becoming one of my favourite series!
