This was a really well done YA novel! I was pleasantly surprised the entire time. I also enjoy the lack of assault and sexism in the book. That’s so refreshing to read about. I enjoy the character development and the slow world building. It was fun to get lost in the waves. I didn’t particularly like the romance, it felt a little rushed considering they rarely talked to one another, just seemed like they fell in love with actions. I enjoy that there isn’t one major plot in this novel, that she achieves what she sets out for about 50% in and after that now needs a new goal. It was cool to have a book close up a narrative like that and have its protagonist struggle to figure out where to go next. I enjoyed it!
