Questo libro è carino, ma non abbastanza da compiacere i miei gusti.
fast-paced

A wonderful book. The characters were nice and fleshed out, and I loved Darcy and Marisol’s friendship. The romance wasn’t over done, and it wasn’t too cheesy. Also, Tess and Mr Winston just made me laugh. The way they were such opposites.
And even though she wasn’t a main character, I loved Marisol’s mom.

While it was weird listening to a book where the MC had my name (doesn't happen often) I enjoyed the book. It was emotional with the relationship of Darcy and her mom especially with the hoarding (also hit a bit too close to home) but I liked how it was handled. The real reason for the hoard shocked me at the end and the identity of the scribbler wasn't my first guess but was my second. I love that we got to day eight.

I really enjoyed this refreshing book. Namey has written a story unlike any I've read before. As the daughter of a hoarder, I could relate deeply to Darcy's struggle with her often contradictory feelings regarding her well-intentioned mother. I have felt the anger, hopelessness, and contempt, but I also know the love, admiration, and trust she simultaneously has for her mother. I just want us to be okay too.

I absolutely love the relationship between Asher and Darcy, and again, the confusing feelings of first love were palpable. I enjoyed seeing them both try to be what the other needed while struggling with their own challenges. I enjoyed knowing that they were both genuine people.

Marisol is the best friend I've always wanted but never had. I have lots of friends, but the way Marisol's whole family sorrounds Darcy in love is touching.

Finally, the words. The dictionary game was especially fun, and I enjoy the open quotes to each chapter.

If I had to make suggestions, I would say that the format of the ebook was frustrating as a ebook reviewer. It was pdf and I had to set the size of each page. Perhaps changing the format to something more user friendly would attract more readers. The Shakespeare play plot point was a little out there for me. It stood out as unrealistic in an otherwise authentic book.

I loved this book. Darcy is in high school and works at a local bookstore. She reads all the time and can recite books from memory. But she has a secret. What she doesn't show or tell other people is that her mother is a hoarder and that inside their home is stuff--boxes, tubs, stuff....everywhere. There is a great best friend and a romance with a boy named Asher that finally gets Darcy to take control of her life.

This book was excellent, especially for an avid reader like me. I identified with Darcy, living through books and stories instead of getting out an experiencing life at times. It was such a great story - quick, light, entertaining, and emotional.
