An entertaining magic progression fantasy
I really enjoy this story. It’s a progression fantasy and has magic, supernatural creatures, believable dialogue, time travel, and a really satisfying ending (when the final arc is published).
I’ve read this 3-4 times via the web serial format and am looking forward to the entire revised version on Kindle.

The "male gaze" is really strong here. I'm also not a huge fan of the characters, I generally like more character driven narratives, and Zorian is basically the only character we get to see grow, and he's... not great. He does get better, but it's not a huge draw. And all of the other characters are EXTREMELY flat. I think I'll read the next one, because I didn't hate it, and I didn't drop it, but I'm not expecting it to be much better.
