I wanted to read this short story because I heard great things about the movie. This was fine, but it wasn't super thrilling and didn't feel unique.

A teenager is abducted by a man who works as a clown. The teenager is held captive in the man's basement where an ominous black phone is mounted to the wall. It rings, but no one is there (or maybe someone is there)? Will the boy make it out alive or not?

However, I enjoyed the symbolism, imagery, and foreshadowing throughout.

These stories feel way to short for me unfortunately. Not much depth or anything to hold onto.

This was such a short read since it is part of a collection so Yeah…It’s okay. I can’t wait to see the movie

I'm seeing the movie this weekend and wanted to read the book beforehand! The book was... fine? I liked it for what it was, but the fat-phobia was off-putting.
