Honestly, I was invested in reading this because of the cover. Yet, it turns out SO GOOD!! It is a quick, light-hearted story about Honda (20) who wants to meet her soulmate. I couldn't put it down so I finished it in one sitting. I recommend this for those who love cute-fluffy romance.
CAN'T WAIT FOR THE VOL. 2!!

How I Met My Soulmate by Anashin is an adorable manga that follows the university-aged protagonist Yuuki Honda who is exploring the dating scene by venturing to clubs and mixers. Yuuki meets 3 possible love interests throughout the manga each fulfilling a romantic wish for her. There are surprising secrets from the past that are revealed that make the reader question; which man is right for Yuuki?
The character progression in this manga is well done spanning over the entire work with each character getting aspects of their personality and past revealed in a thoughtful way. The art work for this manga is adorable and it is refreshing to read a story with a point of view from a college-aged cast. The exposition begins slowly, but the ending will leave you ready to read the next volume.

Thanks Netgalley and publisher for this free manga. It’s just a simple love story about a girl wanting her dream prince who are basically the same generic types you’ll ever see mostly in romance mangas. The arts pretty tho!

After years of cramming for her exams, Yuuki is tired of being lonely. Together with her friend, she sets out to find her soulmate. She wants to fall in love. Head over heels in love. If only it were that easy. Because there’s not one but two boys who tick all of her boxes. Who will it be? Silent Iori or childhood sweetheart Seno?
This manga was so goooood. 😭 It was mature and the characters were well-developed. The story was definitely toying with my emotions and I think this is one of those series which will get better and better. I’m hooked.
I accessed an ARC via NetGalley. All my opinions are my own.

Thank you Kodansha Comics for a copy of How I Met My Soulmate (Vol1)
"A college romance that meditates on just what destiny means, and whether "the one" is really out there. A fresh and stylish spin on shojo manga!
Review:
I love the art style and character designs, and I like seeing well-loved tropes from high school mangas to ones with a university setting. The plotline was quite predictable and fluffy, so it was easy to get through.
I'm hoping for strong character development from our FMC, so I'm def gonna pick up volume 2!
